Hi there! This is the TweetGrid page for UpUrAlley: Lygon – where UpUrAlley collects everything people want you to know about Lygon Street, right now, with the help of TweetGrid. Get your ear to the street – check out the 50 latest #uplygon Twitters below!
It's really simple. Whenever you find out about something happening on Lygon, just post a Twitter message with the news followed by the #uplygon hashtag. UpUrAlley's TweetGrid searches the whole of Twitter for tweets with this hashtag, and publishes them on the site. You can do it anywhere you can access Twitter from, fast, without having to get on a computer and visit the UpUrAlley: Lygon site.
It could, but some people who Twitter using the words "Lygon Street" may want their messages to stay private, and we respect that. The #uplygon tag lets us know that this is a message you want everyone on UpUrAlley to know about.
So if you're using Twitter to organise a meet-up with friends on Lygon on Friday night, you can do that without worrying about unexpected guests turning up from UpUrAlley – just leave #uplygon off the message!
Sure, but it may not wind up on the TweetGrid. UpUrAlley does have a Twitter account, and you'll see staff members using it sometimes to put news up on the TweetGrid. If someone sends us a tweet and we think it's important for other people on the site to know, we might re-tweet the message with the #uplygon hashtag for you – but we can't promise to catch every tweet every day!
You should twitter to @UpUrAlley if you want to give staff a heads-up on something (or feedback!), but you don't think everyone on the site needs to know (yet).
Not at the moment, no. As UpUrAlley grows, and more people use the service, we will expand the number of tweets you can see on this page. But the idea is to give you a snapshot of what's going on around Lygon Street right now.
If you want to say something on the site and have it stay here, it's better to post a comment on one of our stories in the section you think is most appropriate.
